Resistance to Change and how to become more Agile Our speaker Rod Willis has spent more than a decade researching the causes of our perception that people are ‘Resistant to Change’. Having explored this, Assentire Ltd the Organsiation he co-founded in 2010 went on to create a suite of tools and methods (face-to-face and virtual) to help Project Managers and Agile Practitioners engage groups and teams in experiential ways of working and learning, developing far higher levels of Collaboration. If you are familiar with AgilePM, you will know Collaboration is a central pillar, Rod’s challenge to all that care about Collaboration is.

  • Do you have a language that enables you to discuss in detail what Collaboration actually is?
  • Do you know how to assess Collaboration?
  • Do you know how to facilitate a Group’s understanding of Collaboration and bring about meaningful and lasting change?
  • Do you know how you can integrate new insights into Collaboration directly into Retrospectives and Project Reviews?
Those that do, have more successful projects and understand in detail what it takes to make the PM and Agile practices something that adds greater value for all across the organisation. At the end of the talk, Rod will highlight resources that will shortly become available via the Agile Business Consortium which are planned to be released under Creative Commons License later in 2018. They include ABC’s ‘Agile Leadership Coaching Toolkit’ which he was commissioned to create earlier this year.
